Ilamae Webb Ball

Leicester - Ilamae Webb Ball 92, formerly of Sluder Branch Road, died Monday, June 21, 2004 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals System. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She retired in 1970 following 30 years of service from American Enka Corporartion. Mrs. Ball was a member of Newfound Baptist Church where member of the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class and church choir and formerly active with the the youth of the church. She was a daughter of the late James Jim Franklin Webb and Ida Mae Isabel Wells Webb and the wife of Burton Benjamin Ball who died in January 1999. Surviving are her daughter, Donna Anderson of Asheville; son, Dan L. Ball of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Inez Rogers of Leicester and Margaret Meadows of Asheville; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Ball and Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.
