Hoy Reece

Candler - Hoy Frank Reece, 83, of Candler, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Beystone Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Madison County, Mr. Reece had resided in Buncombe County for the past fifty years. He retired from Tyco, and was an avid Bluegrass Music fan. Mr. Reece was the son of the late James Craig and Emaline Nancy Rice Reece. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Faye Reece; and three brothers: Clyde, Hershel and Gary Reece. Surviving are his children: Frank Reece (Janet), Larry Reese (Ellen), Jerry Reece, Michael Reece (Mary), Brenda Baldwin (Benjamin) and Dale Reece; sisters: Adell Pettinger and Geraldine Roccaforte; 13 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at the church. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Reece family.
