Howard Jimmie Towe

Candler Howard Jimmie Towe, 69, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at the John F. Keever Solace Center surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Towe was a graduate of Enka High School, and had retired form the injection molding department of Magnavox. He was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Mr. Towe was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports. Mr. Towe was the son of the late Howard William and Ellen Nora Arrington Towe. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Sumner, and sisters: Joan Allen and Nancy Jean Loftin. Surviving are his children: Kelly Gouge and husband James, Debbie Parker, and Richard Towe; grandchildren: Rebecca, Felisha, Crystal, Keri, Richard, Jr., Brandy, Cody, Cory and Haley; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Jerry Towe and wife Mary and Bobby Towe and wife Wanda; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM 12:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
