Helen Fay Cox

Candler - Helen Fay Owen Cox, 78, went to be with her Lord Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Cox was the daughter of the late Franklin Boyd and Helen Estelle Wilkey Owen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Glenn Cox, Sr.; son, Don Cox; son-in-law, Burt Hutchinson; and eight brothers and sisters. Surviving are her daughters: Loretta Ann Hutchinson of Leicester and Mary Helen Roper of Swannanoa; son, Thomas Glenn Cox, Jr. (Jo) of Marion; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great, great-grandchildren; brothers: Ed Owen (Diane) and Nick Owen (Debbie), all of California, and Jimmy Perry (Patsy) of Candler; special brother-in-law, Billy Cox of Leicester; and many loved nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday at Pisgah View Memorial Park, with the Rev. Rolf Woodard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pisgah Manor Health Care Activities Fund, 95 Holcombe Cove Road, Candler, NC 28715. The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to the staff of Pisgah Manor Health Care Center, for the love and care that Mrs. Cox received during her stay.
