Glenda Berry

Hendersonville Glenda Darlene Hudgins Berry, 57, of 4286 Chimney Rock Road, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and resident of most of her life of Buncombe County, Mrs. Berry was formerly employed with Reeds Jewelers, Buncombe County I.T.S., and with the NC DMV. Her life was her love for her family and her animals. Mrs. Berry was the daughter of the late Harrice Gerome Hudgins and Alma Christine Woody Freeman. Surviving are her husband, Lee Morris Berry, whom she married June 23, 2006, children, Chris Howard and wife Amy, Joey Hudgins and wife Connie, Mollie Nix and husband James, Seth Harrison and wife Elissa, and Zane Berry; eleven grandchildren; step-mother, Brenda Hudgins, three sisters and six brothers. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2013 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kelly Hudgins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach, 5270 Memorial Highway, Lake Lure, NC 28746, or to the Edneyville Volunteer Fire Department, 1 Firehouse Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
