Gladys Saine Franklin

Pickens - Gladys Saine Franklin, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday - November 22, 2011. A native of Dahlonega, Ga. she had lived in North and South Carolina most of her life. She was a daughter of the late George Tate Saine and Ollie Jane Ingram Saine. Ms. Franklin was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Sapp of Hampton, VA, Sandra Haire and husband James of Vass, NC, Kathy Armijo of Pickens, SC and Sally Lance and husband William of Easley, SC; sister, Rachel Morgan of Candler, NC; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Friday - November 25, 2011 at Pisgah View Memorial Gardens in Candler, NC with Pastor Jeremy Chism officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 30 Bethany Road, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
