Gertrude Wright

Fairview - Gertrude Wright, 86, of 57 Ballard Creek Road died Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Beckys Rest Home following a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired form C.P. Claire (CII)following 30 years of service and was a member of Laurel Pines Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Robert Franklin and Hester Earwood Wright and the wife of Willis Newton Wright who died November 11, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Lee Wright. Surviving are her son, Donald Harvey Wright and wife Freida of Marion; daughter, Mary Ann Gaddy and husband James Glenn Gaddy of Fairview; granddaughter, Pam Barrett and husband Brian of Marion; great grandchildren, Cody and Kaylee Barrett of Marion sisters-in-law, Betty Teal and husband Ralph of Cornelius and Thelma Wright of Fairview; brother-in-law, John Wright of Burnsville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Cane Creek Cemetery.
