George Murray

Candler George Murray, 82, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Pisgah Manor Health Care. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he retired from Frito Lays and was a member of Deaverview Baptist Church. He was the son of the late James and Gertrude Haydack Murray and was also preceded in death by one sister and four brothers. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Woodle Murray; children, Glenn Murray and Debbie Bradley and husband Ross; grandsons, Joshua Hathaway and wife Jennifer and Jason Murray and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 30, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Stacy Hightower officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
