George Dennis Rodgers Miles

George Dennis Rodgers Miles, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native of Charleston, SC, he resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was a son of the late Harvey Lee Miles and Kona Jean Barnwell Miles. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Tina M. Gunter.

George worked in the same building since he was 18 years old, having grown with his employer, Owen Manufacturing which later became ECOLAB where he became the Facility Manager. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by many.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Miles; son, Benjiman Lee Miles; grandchildren: Corben George Miles, and Riley Minerva Ukleja-Miles; sister, Sheila Leonard; brother, Kenny Miles; brothers-in-law, Mike Gunter and Frank Hipp; mother-in-law, Ellen Phelps; nieces and nephews: Adam Walker and wife Naydean, John Walker and wife Annie, Aaron Hipp, and Krys Hipp; great-nieces and great-nephews: Bryan, Lexi, Jonathon, Kala, Aiden, Haleigh, Bentley, and Jordan; and by many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 29, 2024, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Tim Warren officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday immediately following the service.
