Geneva Clark

March 8, 1926 — September 11, 2010

Asheville Geneva Emogene Rice Clark, 84, of 45 Briggs Road, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Madison County, Mrs. Clark had resided in Buncombe County since 1949. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Dora Coates Rice, and was also preceded in death by two sisters: Evelyn Santoro and Juanita Granat; two brothers: Bernard and Willard Rice and grandson: Michael Clark. Surviving are her husband, Gerald M. Clark, whom she married October 27, 1944; five sons: Alan Clark of the home, Charles L. Clark (Susan) of Nashville, TN, Larry Clark (Judi) of Knoxville, TN, Philip Clark (Brenda) of Asheville, and Greg Clark (Leslie) of Arden; former daughter-in-law, Anne Blankenship Clark; grandchildren: Jeremy, Anne-Marie, Suzanne, Savannah, Paul, Scott, Vijay and Ravi; great-grandsons: Colt and Landon; and several nieces and nephews, including Barbara, Colleen, Gary and Debbie. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in the Peek-Dill Cemetery in the Petersburg Community of Madison County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
