Gene Allen Hollingsworth

Gene Allen Hollingsworth, 65, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, September 2, 2013. He was the son of the late Charles Eugene and Emma Lois Bishop Hollingsworth. He leaves behind his wife, Betty Jean Hollingsworth; a son, Mike Hollingsworth and his wife Lynn of Swannanoa; a step daughter, Dawn Neuhauser and her husband Ray of Oteen; a step son, Mark Miller and his wife Cynthia of Fletcher; six grandchildren; and a brother, Jackie Hollingsworth and his wife Kathy of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church where he was a member. Officiating will be Rev. Charles Phillips. . The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Asheville Kidney Center, 1600 Centre Park Drive, Asheville, NC 28805.
