Fred Henry Arrington

Fred Henry Arrington, 86, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the WNC Baptist Home. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Ernest and Ethel Collins Arrington. He was also preceded in death by 11 sisters and 2 brothers. He attended Mount Pisgah Baptist Church until he moved to Charlotte in 1962, and was a member of Beech Avenue Baptist Church of Gastonia since 1967. He retired from Biltmore Dairy after 22 years of service and also from MILCO after 23 years of service. He was also a member of the Carolina-Virginia Dairy Association. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Norma Lee Hensley Arrington of the home; sisters, Virginia Odett of Swannanoa, and Mildred Rogers of Rockford, IL; and by many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Piney Mountain Methodist Church Cemetery with Greg Warren officiating.
