Frances Rhymer

April 22, 1914 — October 31, 2004

Candler - Frances Pauline Creasman Rhymer, 90, went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ October 31, 2004 following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Gordon and Lilly Estelle Sawyer Creasman. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Roy Thomas Rhymer who died December 5, 1989 and a brother O.B. Creasman. Her family and friends that loved her will always remember her as Mamaw. Mrs. Rhymer was of the Baptist denomination. Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Hall and her husband Alvin of Candler, Shirley Ownbey and her husband Gene, Sr. of Winston-Salem and Jo Ann Jones and her husband Joe of Candler; Sons, Ronald Rhymer and his wife Judy of Asheville and Danny Rhymer and his wife Charlotte of Clyde; sister, Edith Moore of Asheville; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Gene Ownbey, Jr. (grandson) officiating and grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the home of Joe and Jo Ann Jones, 840 Asbury Rd., Candler.
