Frances R. Banks

Hendersonville - Norma Frances Robinson Banks, 66, of 135 Rolling Oaks Drive passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Henderson County. She had resided in Buncombe County prior to moving to Henderson County in 1980, retired in 2005 from Federal Paper Board following 25 years of service and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Banks was a daughter of the late Spurgeon Malone and Olive Lula Coates Robinson and was also preceded in death by her son, Phillip Scott Pike and step son, Billy Lynn Pike. Surviving are her husband, Bobby Gene Banks, whom she married October 7, 1988, of the home; son, Roy Kenneth Pike, Jr. of Tuscon, AZ; daughter, Leisa Dawn Smith (Sam) of Asheville; step daughters, Debbie Rollins (Roger) of Leicester, Teresa Teel (Carey) of Asheville and Annette Boyd of Leicester; sister, Jewel McManus of Charlotte; brothers, Douglas Robinson of Cummings, GA and Don Robinson of Fayetteville, AR; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Naples Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Merck officiating. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 P.M. Saturday at the church prior to services.
