Frances Louise Carr

Leicester - Frances Louise Carr, 83, formerly of Dix Creek #2 died Monday - September 5, 2005 at the Hominy Valley Retirement Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1984 from Burlington Industries after 44 years of service. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, the W.M.U. and the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #891. She was a daughter of the late Alonzo Riley and Gertrude Ethel Sealey Black and the wife of the late Wayne F. Carr. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Lee Carr. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Cole and husband Morris of Leicester; son, Larry Carr and wife Lila of Leicester; sisters, Louella Wells of Leicester and Christine Boyd of Asheville; grandchildren, Carla, Kelly, Bryan and Bobby and her special friends at the retirement center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Townsend officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
