Asheville Floyd Eugene Fuller, 85, of 500 Beaverdam Road, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007. A native of Swain County, he had resided most of his life in St. Petersburg, FL and in Buncombe County. He was U.S. Army Veteran of W.W. II, a former Police Officer with the St. Petersburg Police Department and retired as a meat cutter from Publix Grocery in St. Pete. Mr. Fuller was the son of the late H.E. and Fonnie Whiteside Fuller and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Earl and Ed and sisters, Hazel, Virginia and Novella. Surviving is his wife, Mildred Fore Fuller; sister, Flora Taylor; brother, Bryan Fuller and sister in law, Helen Ramsey all of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Hensley and Rev. C.W. Anthony officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
