Faye Moneyham

Leicester Faye Lee Wilde Moneyham, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home. A native of Madison County, she had resided most of her life in Buncombe County, having moved to Rutherfordton in January 2017. She was the former Secretary at Newfound Baptist Church where she served for many years and a member of since 1963. Mrs. Moneyham was a daughter of the late Eldridge Miller Wilde and Cora Lee Fender Wilde and wife of Donald Robert Moneyham who died in 1968. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Bertha Jones, Ruby Honeycutt and Ann Robinson and brother, Paul Wilde. Surviving are her sons, Gary Moneyham (Linda) of Hoover, AL and Rev. Scott Moneyham (Sharon) of Rutherfordton; sisters, Thelma Wheeler of Weaverville, Dale Bowman of Asheville and Kay Griffin of Marshall; grandsons, Matthew Moneyham (Lindsey) of Birmingham, AL, Nathan Moneyham (Alison) of Rutherfordton and Daniel Moneyham (Emma) of Pittsboro, NC; granddaughter, Anna Moneyham of Rutherfordton; great grandsons, Harden, Connor, Hampton and Asher; great granddaughter, Abigail and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 24, 2017 at Newfound Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Maynard and Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
