Fannie Buckner Faulkner

Fannie Buckner Faulkner, 92, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her residence, surrounded by her family. A native of Madison County, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1961. Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Buckner and Verjetti Sams Buckner and Amanda & Wiley Hunter; husband, William McKinley Faulkner; grandson, Matthew and nine brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Norma Jean Taylor (Robert), Raymond McKinley Faulkner (Melinda), Linda Darlene Grogan, Joanna Morrow (Tom), Ralph W. Faulkner and Richard A. Faulkner (Bill); 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren with one more on the way; sister-in-law, Patty Buckner and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Melton officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. The family would like to say thank you to CarePartners Hospice for their great care.
