Evelyn Treadway Miller

Evelyn Treadway Miller, 101, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Madison Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Unicoi County, TN, she resided in Buncombe County since 1944. Mrs. Miller attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Carver Vance and Jane Ray Treadway. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Herbert Curtis Miller; sister, Ester Moore; and brothers: Gaye, Jack, Leonard, Charles, John Rufas, Lewis, Mack, and Buddy Vance. She is survived by her sister, Inez Metcalf of Flag Pond, TN, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cecil Robinson officiating. The family will receive for 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be Wednesday at 11 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, Erwin, TN.
