Evelyn Bond

April 28, 1931 — July 9, 2017

Asheville Frances Evelyn Hill Bond, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Henderson County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was employed with the Buncombe County School System at Enka Middle School, and worked in the Cafeteria from 1980 to 1998 and was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Bond was a daughter of the late Charlie Howard Hill and Bertha Viola Camby Hill and was the wife of J.T. Bond who died January 31, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Alvoyd Hill, formerly of Fairview. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry T. Bond and Judy S. Bond of Asheville and Terry Dean Bond and Tricia J. Bond of Candler; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly B. Williamson and Gene Williamson of Candler; sister, Phebe Isley of Swannanoa; grandchildren, Jeremy Bond, Jamey Bond and wife Amanda, Whitney Schultz and husband Justin, Chelsea Bond, Tyler Williamson and James Dylan Bond; great grandsons, Evan, Trevor, Shelby and Cullen and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Bent Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Bridges, Gene Williamson and Porter Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 Wednesday at the church, and at other times, will be at the home of Kim & Gene Williamson, 624 Reeves Cove Rd, Candler, NC 28715.
