Eva B. Stewart

Swannanoa - Eva Marie Bryant Stewart, 83, of 5 Pyfrom Drive passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Surry County, N.C., she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 63 years. She retired from Beacon Manufacturing Company following over 40 years of service and following her retirement, she was employed with McDonalds at River Ridge. Mrs. Stewart is the daughter of the late Columbus Calvin Bryant & Mary Wagoner Bryant and the wife of Robert Noah Stewart who died December 21, 1983. Surviving are her son, Robert L. Stewart of the home; daughter, Diane S. Bennett and husband, Carlos of Virginia Beach, VA.; brothers, Oscar Bryant of Roxboro & Isaac Bryant of High Point; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Graveside services will be held 10 A.M. Thursday at Sky View Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Ballard officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home and at other times, the family will be at the residence.
