Ethel Banks

Leicester Lola Ethel Roberts Banks, 76, of 10 Peeble Trail, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at The Laurels of Green Tree Ridge. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired as a Seamstress and was a faithful member of the Salvation Army Church. Mrs. Banks was a daughter of the late Thomas Harold Roberts and Ellen Rosette Phillips Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Franklin Banks who died November 28, 2005. Surviving are her children, Stan Banks of Asheville, Ellen Davis and husband Carson of Candler and Alan Thomas Banks of Asheville; sisters, Kitty Coffey of Asheville and Lorraine Shelton of Woodfin and several nieces and nephews including her great nephew, Michael Haley of Woodfin and best friend & dog, Pollyanna. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Salvation Army Church with Major Mark Satterlee officiating. Burial will follow in Sky View Memorial Park.
