Ernest Davis

Ernest Davis, 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. A native of Madison County he resided in Buncombe County most of his life, he was the son of the late John William and Linda Ramsey Davis. He was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 7 sisters. Mr. Davis was a Veteran of the US Army and served in WWII in Hawaii and in the occupation of Japan. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church since 1957, and was a brick mason. Surviving are his wife Lela Shelton Davis of the home; daughter, Phyllis Davis Steen and husband Philip of Marshall; son, Randy Davis of Mars Hill; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 28, 2016 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Pastor Randy Bray officiating.
