Ellen F. Lewis

Fletcher - Ellen Fisher Lewis, 91, went home to be with the Lord Saturday October 21, 2006. She was born September 6, 1915 in Madison County to the late William R. and Katie Fisher. She lived most of her life in Henderson County where she worked for Mountain Rug Mills until retiring in 1977. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church. She was the wife of the late Rev. Jobie H. Lewis. Surviving are her children, Christine Hensley and husband Clyde of Fletcher, Rev. Charles Lewis and wife Mildred of Connley Springs, Lee Roy Lewis and wife Addie of Arden, Glenda Lewis of Fletcher, Rita Oxendine and husband Adrian of Fletcher; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fletcher First Baptist Church with the Revs. Roy Waldroup, Darren Waldroup and Charles Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Thomas Shepherd and Son Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at Fletcher First Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Glenda Lewis. Memorials may be made to: Fletcher First Baptist Church, Stained Glass Window Fund, P.O.
