Ella Mae Rice Whitted

On July 30, 2018 our Heavenly Father reached down and took the hand of Ella Mae. She was gone from the sight of many but not the one she longed to see. Ella Mae was preceded in death by her parents Rev Jesse and Lucy Tweed Rice, her husband of 60 years Bill Whitted. Sister, Evelyn Vess; brothers: George and James Rice. She was the oldest member of Westview Baptist Church in Weaverville. She is survived by her nephew Darryl Vess and wife Jacqueline her caregivers. Also her nephews: JT and wife Wilma, Kelly and wife Donna, and Keith and wife Tawnya. Brother in law, Kenneth Whitted and wife Ruth. Many great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, August 3, 2018, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Vess and Rev. Jack Presnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Capps Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Darryl and Jackie want to thank the Marjorie McCune Memorial Center for their loving care and CarePartners Solace Facility for their compassion and kindness.
