Elizabeth Madge Kissinger

May 21, 1928 — February 2, 2006

Asheville - Elizabeth Madge Ballinger Kissinger, 77, of 127 Aurora Drive died Thursday - February 2, 2006 at the Beverly Health Care Center after a period of declining health. A native of McMinn County, TN, she had lived in Asheville since 1940 and was a Charter Member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Edgar Floyd and Clare Mae Popejoy Ballinger. She was the wife of the late Herbert W. Kissinger. Surviving are her son, Kenneth Walter Kissinger of the home; sisters, Allene Fielden of Port Huron, MI and Ruth Wolter of Asheville; brother, Pope Ballinger of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday in the Chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with the Rev. Wayne Adkisson officiating. Burial will be in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
