Edward R. "Ed" Myers

Asheville - Edward Randolph Ed Myers, 81, of 25 Pisgah View Road died Wednesday January 19, 2005 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a short illness. A native of Manning, SC. he resided in Asheville for the past 40 years. He was a former ordained minister of the Nazarene Faith where he was a former music director. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII where he served as a radar operator. He was a son of the late John Fred and Susan Elizabeth McCoy Myers and was also preceded in death by brother, Jack and sisters, Betty and Janie. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor J. Myers of the home; daughters, Edna Ruth, Betty, Susan and Janie Lynn; sons, Randy, Thomas and Gary; sisters, Frances and Willie Jean; brother, Johnny; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Buckner and Rev. Bobby Benson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
