Edward James Jenkins Sr.

Asheville - Edward James Jenkins, Sr., 65, of 57 Ridgecrest Road died Saturday September 9, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Swain County, he lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Burl and Rhonda Lucille Jenkins and the husband of the late Dorothy Grindstaff Jenkins who died in 1992. Surviving are his son Eddie Jenkins and wife Angie of Arden; aunt Pauline Haney of Asheville and several dear cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeffrey Hober officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
