Asheville - Edna Sue Faulkner Marlowe, 93, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at the Beverly Health Care Center following a recent illness. A native of Madison County. Mrs. Marlowe resided in Buncombe County most of life, she was a homemaker, and was the oldest living member of Asheville Freewill Baptist Church, where she had served as church clerk, secretary for the Womens Auxillary and was a member of the Ladies Bible Class. She was a daughter of the late Julius A. and Arrie Cody Faulkner and wife of Harrison Marlowe, Jr. who died March 3, 1970. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Austin Faulkner and sister, Dorothy Laws. Surviving are her son, Ronald Marlowe and wife, Charlene of Asheville; daughters, Faye Marie Reynolds and husband, John of East Flat Rock and Barbara Jean Radford of Asheville; sister, Ollie Davis of Marshall; 3 grandchildren, Marcia Shulimson, Charles Reynolds and wife, Ginger and Michelle Marlowe and Fiance, Jon-Marc Lutz; 3 great grandchildren, Donnie Noble and wife, Kelly, Hannah and Samantha Reynolds; 2 great-great grandsons, Taylor-Jax and Kole Noble; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Tuesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Larry Collins and Lawrence Russell officiating. Burial will be in Elk Mountain. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
