Edna Overman

Edna Jane Reece Overman, age 82, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 at her residence. Edna was born in Madison County, NC to the late William and Verdie Arrington Reece. She was also preceded in death by her husband George Overman and brothers, Branson, James and Lester Reece. She is survived by daughters, Nancy (Charles) Lee, Karen (James) Pressley and Pat (Cecil) Williams, son, Steve Overman, sister, Helen Neubert, 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, honorary daughters, Mary Angel, Kathy Overman and Vicky Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Elliott and Mr. Phillip Knighten officiating. Music will be provided by Robert and Susie Raines, Judy Roberts and Jeff Gosnell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Phillip Knighten, Tommy Knighten, Anthony Watts, Doug Morgan, Mike Sprouse and Jonathan Gales. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Reese and Paul Capps. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Anders-Rice Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church I hour prior to the service.
