Edith C. Robinson

Asheville - Edith Carolee Rumbough Robinson, 88, died Thursday - January 10, 2008 at Emerald Ridge Health Care Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Lucius and Elizabeth Blankenship Rumbough and the wife of the late Ernest Boyd Robinson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Ernest Robinson and several brothers and sisters. Surviving are her sons, Elden Robinson and wife Geraldine of Alexander, David Robinson and wife Ruth of Candler and Henry Robinson and wife Rhonda of Campobello, SC; daughters, Ina Hodge and husband Lonnie of Orange Park, FL and Doris Hensley and husband Larry of Alexander; several half brothers and sisters; 23 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy R. Clement officiating. Burial will be in Elk Mountain Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
