Dot Keener

Alexander Dorothy Estelle Dot Elkins Keener, 91, of 416 Alexander Road, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Aston Park Health Care Center where she had resided for the past eight years. Mrs. Keener was a native of Pikeville, KY and had resided most of her life in Michigan prior to moving to Buncombe County in 1972. She was a member of Alexander Baptist Church. Mrs. Keener was the wife of Leo Keener who died March 20, 1994. Surviving are step daughters, Rose Kuykendall and Beverly Caldwell both of Asheville; step son, Tommy Keener of Leicester; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; half sister, Jean Hill of Michigan; half brother, Jay Elkins of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory with Rev. Richard Baird and Rev. Allen Raines officiating.
