Dorothy T. Wilson

Arden - Dorothy T. Wilson, age 91, of Arden, died Monday September 20, 2010 at the St Joseph's Campus of Mission Hospital. A native of Cuyahoga County, OH, she had lived in Franklin, NC before moving to Arden two and a half years ago. She was a member of the Macon County Homemaker Extension Club, the Nantahala Hiking Club, the Bartram Trail Society and the Red Hat Club. She volunteered at the Macon County Humane Society for many years and participated in the Senior Olympics. She attended Hickory Knoll Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late William and Mildred Smutna Jochum, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Jean Marie Camp. Surviving are her niece, Linda Camp of Clyde and nephew, Allen Camp, Sr. of Cleveland, OH. Memorial services will be held at Ardenwoods Retirement Community on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 3 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of your choice.
