Asheville Dorothy Dot Easler Outlaw, 103, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Care Partners Hospice John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Columbia, SC, Mrs. Outlaw had resided most of her life in Raleigh before moving to Asheville in 2010. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh. Mrs. Outlaw was the daughter of the late Reubin Harvey and Carrie Anne Elizabeth Parr Easler, and the wife of John Thomas Outlaw, who passed away in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tempie Outlaw Hardesty, and three siblings. Surviving are her son, John Thomas Tom Outlaw, Jr. (Joey) of Alexander; grandchildren: Sheri Outlaw Timmons of Raleigh, Susan Outlaw Callahan (Troy) of Taylors, SC, Scott Hardesty (Haley) of Raleigh, Steve Hardesty (Christina) of Raleigh, Jennifer Outlaw Straight (Chris) of Charleston, SC, Jonathan Jonas (Ashley) of Asheville, and Bentley Outlaw of Alexander; and eleven great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the First Presbyterian Church of Raleigh. The family will receive friends from 5:00 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Biltmore Church Arden Campus, 35 Clayton Road, Arden, NC 28704. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ABCCM, 20 20th Street, Asheville, NC 28806.
