Asheville Dorothy Adina Israel Austin, 94, went to be with her Lord Friday July 8, 2011 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a loving and devoted mother. She was the daughter of the late Lester M. Israel and Rose Mae Galyean Israel Camby and the wife of the late Coleman James Chick Austin. Surviving are her sons, Alton L. Clements and wife Shirley of Camby IN, Lee Roy Clements of Asheville and James H. Clements and wife Joyce of Arden; daughters, Ellen Snelson and husband Philip, Shirley Coffey and husband Gary and Linda Kuykendall and husband Steve all of Asheville; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday at Asheville First Church of the Nazarene where she was a member, Pastor James L. Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery with Travis Snelson, Scott Crutchfield, Justin Crutchfield, J. D. Clements, Seth Buckner and Steven Lechner serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Shirley Coffey, 80 Rash Road, Asheville, NC.
