Donald Freeman

Asheville - Donald Lawrence Freeman, 78, of 2182 New Leicester Highway passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at his home. A native of Madison County, he had resided most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Freeman was the son of the late Lawrence and Eva Morrow Freeman. Surviving are his wife, Pansy Biddix Freeman of the home; sons, Jeff Freeman and wife Angela and Joey Freeman all of Asheville; sisters, Wanda Spivey of Fairview, Kathleen Franklin and Betty Jean Sealey both of Asheville; grandsons, Layne and Sydney Freeman and step-granddaughter, Tiffany Kuld. Funeral services will be held 12:30 P.M. in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Lewis and Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
