Delores "Dodie" Sprinkle

Alexander - Delores Dodie Irene Sluder Sprinkle, 85, of 52 Old Macedonia Road, went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 20, 2005 at her residence following a period of declining health. Mrs. Sprinkle was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, a homemaker and member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Hiram Spurgeon Sluder and Sallie Belle Luther Sluder and the wife of John Edward Sprinkle who passed away March 26, 1983. Surviving are her nieces and nephews and their families. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. James H. Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday following the graveside rites at Mrs. Sprinkles resident. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 1468 Jenkins Valley Rd., Alexander, N.C. 28701. Anders-Rice Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
