David Quakenbush

Asheville - David Neal Quakenbush, 47, a devoted husband and son, passed away Friday July 9, 2010 at his residence after a 25 year battle with liver disease. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he operated the independent car dealership that his father founded over 40 years ago. He was a member of Emma United Methodist Church. He was the son of Anna Belle Young Quakenbush of Asheville and the late Robert Neal Quakenbush. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Toni Renee Bowen of the home; sister, Rhonda Quakenbush Brown and husband Steven of Hendersonville; nieces, Kristen and Alex Brown and his uncle and aunt, Bill and Louise Quakenbush of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Wes Sharpe officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery.
