Dave Camby

Hickory William David Dave Camby, Jr, 67, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Waynesville, NC, he retired in 1989 from the US Air Force where he was stationed in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a Vietnam War veteran and the son of Betty Young Dyer and James Charles Dyer of Asheville and the late William David Camby, Sr. Surviving in addition to his mother and step father are his son, Chuck Camby and wife Abby and grandsons, Michael and Blakely Camby all of Conover. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, January 3, 2017 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Military honors will be conducted by the US Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
