Daniel Lee Burleson Sr.

Asheville - Daniel Lee Burleson, Sr., 63, of 542 Deaverview Road died Monday July 6, 2009. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Edward Clark Burleson, Sr. and Alma Elizabeth Burleson. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Burleson of the home; son, Daniel Lee Burleson, Jr. of Asheville; daughter, Deborah Lynn Davis and husband Jerry of Candler; grandson, Rylan James Davis; sisters, Kathy Atwood and husband David and Etta Dillard and husband Gary; brother, Edward C. Burleson, Jr. and wife Paulette of Elkin; cousin, Patricia Mann and husband Michael Freeman and several more cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Stoker officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery with William Talent, Roger Smith, Michael Freeman, Michael Waldrup, Gary Burleson and Major Freeman serving as pallbearers and Lawrence Hutchison and Chris Bowers serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
