Dale Adams

Asheville Arthur Dale Adams, 59, of 90 Vance Crescent Ext., passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his home. A native of Madison County, Mr. Adams had resided in Buncombe County for the past 26 years. He had worked as a Landscaper with the Biltmore Estate, a Bus Driver with Asheville City Schools, and, most recently, as Caretaker at the Haywood Street Campus of Central United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. He was also a US Marine Corp. veteran. Mr. Adams was the son of Arthur Adams of Mars Hill, and the late Louise Robinson Adams. In addition to his father, surviving are his wife of 26 years, Donna Ingle Adams; children: Michael Dale Adams and wife Suzanne of Concord, NC, Laura Patricia Adams and husband Scott Keonig of Weaverville, Rachel Louise Adams and Nathan William Adams, both of Asheville; grandchildren: Vanessa and Collin Adams, both of Concord; maternal grandmother, Clara Robinson of Mars Hill; sister, Wanda Allen and husband Steve of Barnardsville; brothers: Gary Adams of Mars Hill, Larry Adams and wife Carolyn of Asheville, and Bobby Adams and wife Brenda of Mars Hill; and nieces: Lisa Roberts and husband Robbie, Amanda Allen and Stacey Adams. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Haywood Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Blackburn and Rev. Julie Peeler officiating. Burial will follow in Brown-Ray Cemetery in Mars Hill. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 PM Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615.
