DAISY LEE REDMON HENSLEY, 83, OF 153 SOUTH MORGAN BRANCH ROAD, DIED THURSDAY DECEMBER 21, 2000 IN PISGAH MANOR FOLLOWING A LONG ILLNESS. A NATIVE OF MADISON COUNTY. SHE HAD RESIDED IN BUNCOMBE COUNTY SINCE 1943, WAS A MEMBER OF GLADY BAPTIST CHURCH AND A HOMEMAKER. MRS. HENSLEY WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE BERRY AND MATILDA FREEMAN REDMON AND WIFE OF JAMES WILLIAM HENSLEY WHO DIED OCTOBER 4, 1972. SURVIVING ARE HER DAUGHTERS, NORMA LEE ARRINGTON OF CANDLER AND RUTHE LYNTON OF LOS ANGELES, CA.; SONS, TROY DONALD HENSLEY OF MARSHALL, LON EUGENE HENSLEY AND ROY RONALD HENSLEY BOTH OF CANDLER; SISTERS, JESSIE LEWIS OF ENKA AND SADIE DAVIS OF FAIRVIEW; BROTHER JOBIE REDMON OF ASHEVILLE; 10 GRANDCHILDREN AND 13 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD AT 2:00 P.M. SUNDAY IN THE ANDERS-RICE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL WITH THE REVS CHARLES SPRINKLE AND GREG L. METCALF OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN WHITE ROCK BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FROM 7 TO 9 P.M. SATURDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
