Cora Bell Warren

January 18, 1916 — August 26, 2017

Candler Cora Bell Gosnell Warren, 101, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Parrottsville, TN, Mrs. Warren had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church. Mrs. Warren was the daughter of the late Van Gosnell and Hannah Matilda Rector Gosnell Evans, and the wife of Tennyson Russell Warren, who passed away in 1973. She was also preceded in death by three sons: Harold, Russell and Douglas Warren; and a daughter, Doris Warren. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Jean Taylor and husband Ralph of Candler; sister, Dean Hooper of Rochester, NY; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, sixteen great, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Brad Parker officiating. Burial will follow in White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 2:15 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
