Connie E. Bartolomie

Asheville - Constance Elizabeth Connie Brown Bartolomie, 56, of 80 Shiloh Road, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of her life, she loved flowers, needlework, and being out in nature. Connie was the daughter of the late Arville and Judy Prather Mull. She was also preceded in death by her brother, David Brown. Surviving are her husband, Brian Bartolomie, of the home; daughter, Nina Walling and husband Josh of Asheville; granddaughters: Savannah and Breanna; sister, Doris McElrath and husband Bobby of Canton; adopted sister, Trudy Jaecks of Oteen; three nieces and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Wilson offering words of comfort. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, PO Box 2702, Asheville, NC 28802.
