Clyde Ray Green

Asheville - Clyde Ray Green, 96, of Battery Park Apartments, died Friday, February 24, 2012 at her residence. She was a loving Daughter, Wife and Mother. Mrs. Green was a native of Yancey County and the daughter of the late S.T. Ray and Hannah Horton Ray. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Ray Baird, Kathleen DeBruhl, Lucy Center, Iris Atkins, Alma Roland and Nell Schilt; brothers, Calvin R. Ray, Landon Ray and Estel Ray. Surviving are her son, Robert Dan Green and daughter-in-law, Linda B. Green; grandsons, Sean C. Green and R. Lee Green and great grandson, Julian C. Green all of Black Mountain and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Green was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville, served as a Volunteer Worker at ABCCM, taught at Barnardsville Primary School and worked at Masons Department Store for 10 years. She enjoyed getting together with her friends and family, her plants, walking, loved to read, loved God and believed in prayer. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, 1428 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park, Black Mountain, NC.
