Clora Haynes

Asheville Clora Gerene Edwards Haynes, 90, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the WNC Baptist Home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired from American Enka following many years of service and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher of the Adult Ladies Class. Mrs. Haynes was the daughter of the late Jesse James Edwards and Bessie Wilson Edwards and wife of Rev. Boyd Haynes who died October 16, 2007. Surviving are her sons, Rev. Gary Boyd Haynes and wife Kay of Alexander and Craig Lee Haynes and wife Debbie of Candler; daughter, Rhonda Haynes Clevenger and husband Charles of Cedarville, OH; grandchildren, Bryan, Brent, Christopher and Matthew Haynes, Carla Shank and Courtenay Clevenger and great grandchildren, Savanna Hawkins, Ally, Marty and Liza Shank and Jayden Christopher Haynes. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 27, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Roy McPeters and Rev. Dean Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
