Clois Rice Solesbee

Weaverville - Clois Ann Rice Solesbee, 65, of 18 Coleman Hensley Dr. died Wednesday March 12, 2008 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she loved flowers and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was a daughter of the late Guy Rice and Lucinda Whittemore Clark and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Kay Tipton and a brother, Bobby Glenn Rice. Surviving are her husband, Vic Solesbee of the home; daughter, Colleen Rice Gouge of Weaverville; son, Kevin Tipton and wife Tammy of Weaverville; grandchildren, John Tipton, Lucinda Gouge, Tyler Ball and Myles Ball; great granddaughters, Kimberly Tipton and Kailey Ball; sister, Carolyn Rice and husband Billy of Barnardsville and brother, Rev. Charles Clell Rice of Barnardsville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the Barnardsville Church of God with the Revs. Ronald Dodson, Kenny Ray and Dean Metcalf officiating. Burial will be in the Big Ivy Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
