Clifford Nealey

Asheville - Clifford Nealey, 56, of 575-A Sand Hill Road died Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Mountain Area Hospice Solace Center following a period of declining health. A native of Garden City, Michigan. He had resided in Asheville since July, 1995. Mr. Nealey was a retired Fine Jewelry Salesman and a son of the late Peter and Irene Lenore Rutkowski Nealy. He was of the Native American Heritage, affiliated with the Muskogee Tribe and was active in the Healing and Prayer for the People. Surviving are his wife, Margareta Burca Nealey of the home; daughter, Maria; sons, Clifton, Peter and Vincent; sister, Mary Etta; brother, Thomas and 8 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Lewis Bissell, M.D. officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Nealeys wishes were of respect and reverence for Mother Earth and for prayers of peace among the people.
