Cleo Sisson

Asheville Cleo Gregory Sisson, 95, of Givens Estates, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. A native of London, KY, she had resided in Aliquippa, PA and Mayfield, KY prior to moving to Asheville in 1973 to serve as Property Manager with Bear Creek Apartments, along with her husband, who served as Vice-President of Alco Properties. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Mrs. Sisson was the daughter of the late David and Martha Root Gregory and wife of Edward N. Eddie Sisson who died July 13, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her 13 siblings. Surviving are her children, Bud Sisson and wife Joanne of Portageville, MO, Gary Sisson and wife Lauren of Blue Bell, PA, Bill Sisson and wife Whitney of Lexington, KY and Bob Sisson and wife Patty of Asheville; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at West Asheville Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Stan Welch and Rev. Tony Hooper officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Clay, Greg, Chad, Brandon and Justin Sisson, and Mike Matthews. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:45 PM Saturday prior to services at the church.
