Claude Egbert Laughter

Asheville - Claude Egbert Laughter, 82, of 129 Reynolds School Road, Died Thursday - March 9, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital after a period of declining health. A native of Henderson County, he had lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and had retired from ABF Trucking Co. He was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Arthur Gordon and Flora Garren Laughter and the husband of the late Velma Pettit Laughter. Surviving are his son, Mark Laughter and wife Kim of Asheville; granddaughters, Kristy and Amy Laughter; twin sister, Maude Youngblood of Thomaston, GA. and nephew Don Frisbee of Thomaston, GA. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Tony Fowler and E. M. Pettit officiating.
